Biography

Lizzie Peacock is a harpist based on the border between West Sussex and Surrey, and is available for weddings, functions, and tuition on harp and piano.

Lizzie graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with a BMus (Hons) degree in music, where she specialised in harp performance, after gaining a place on the highly competitive Solo Performance courses. Alongside her studies, she took on the role of principal harpist in both the Royal Holloway Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. She also has a diploma in harp performance awarded by the ABRSM.

Lizzie has provided harp music for a wide variety of events at venues all across the South-East of England, including Wentworth Golf Club, the Savill Gardens in Windsor, and National Trust properties. She regularly performs in concerts for a range of orchestral and choral works, including a number of performances of Britten's Ceremony of Carols, and other important works such as Fauré's Requiem, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, and Rutter's Magnificat. Lizzie has played for several shows, including productions of The Wizard of Oz, Sweeney Todd, and Kiss Me Kate. She is also often invited to give informal solo recitals for a range of different occasions.

Lizzie is both an experienced harpist and pianist, having begun piano lessons at the age of 6. She later studied the harp with the award-winning harpist Luisa-Maria Cordell. For several years Lizzie was a member of the International Harp Ensemble, and with them performed in a great many concerts including a memorable performance at the Barbican in London.

As an accomplished singer and past member of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Lizzie was also a dedicated member of the Chamber Choir of Royal Holloway University. She has travelled with them on their annual tours, performing in some spectacular venues in Latvia, Italy, and Spain.
